    Welcome to the official web site of the 
    Randwick-Botany Harriers inc.

    Affiliated with Athletics NSW we cater for male and female athletes of all standards and age groups, from under 14 to 70+. We provide access to all levels of competition in track and field events through the summer and road/cross country/walk races through the winter. 
    One of the strong features of the club has been its development of junior athletes. Many members who joined the club as teenagers or even younger have gone on to win NSW and Australian Championships and subsequently represented Australia in Commonwealth Games, Olympic Games and World Championships. 

    Current high profile members of the club are: Jeremy RoffJeff HuntSteven SolomonNatalie Saville, Courtney Carter, Tara Holt, Selma Kajan, James Roff, Harry SummersLauren McKillop, Joshua Johnson and Rachel Hardy.

    NSW Club Championships - 4th February

    NSW Club Championships are to be held this Saturday (4th February) at Homebush. Our club takes part in this competition every year and we try to fill all events. This time program include: 100m, 200m, 800m, 3000m, 200m hurdles, 4x100m relay, Discus, Javelin, Long Jump, High Jump.

    State Relays 2011 - Report

    If someone looks at medal tally at this year State Relays our club did a giant leap comparing to last year. We brought home 6 gold and one bronze medal (last year 1 gold, 1 silver, 4 bronze). As usual there was a little bit of drama and effort to put teams together. We had athletes pulling out literally in the morning of competition day. But that is a kind of normal as our sport is really tough one, it test athletes body and mind all the time.

    Interview With Harry Summers

     

    One of the brightest prospects of Australian distance running, Harry Summers (age 21) was selected to run Ekiden Relays in Japan on 22nd November. Harry made a huge breakthrough at 10k and dipped under 29 minutes for the first time. We caught Harry for a quick interview before his next endeavour, Zatopek 10 (Australian 10000m Championships) in Melbourne on Saturday 10th December.

    State Relays 2011

    State Relays are to be held on 19th and 20th November. After initial email broadcast we have a list of athletes (as at 18th Nov) who are available to participate in this competition. The preliminary teams are listed below. We entered 12 teams through Athletics NSW online entry system.
